The research included the fifth and seventh grade primary school students
and their subject teachers. In accordance with the nature of the issue,
systematic monitoring was selected as the most adequate form of research.
A protocol of systematic monitoring was devised, which included monitoring,
analysing and estimating the value of incitement as the in-class educational
measure. The questionnaire technique was also applied and both the
students and their teachers were examined. Systematic observation was conducted
in the classes of the subjects with the highest number of hours in the
weekly timetable: Serbian Language, Mathematics, History, and Geography.
Each subject was given 18 hours, amounting to 72 hours of observation. The
survey comprised 763 students (394 fifth grade and 369 seventh grade students:
51.9% girls : 48.1 boys; 51.3% girls : 48.7% boys), and 169 subject
teachers.
