Abstract
To be active in the sphere of art means to take part in a process that shapes and organizes feelings, thinking and experiences differently by means of symbols and aids that artistic expression employs. In addition, art leads into expanded experience because changes are realized through intrinsic cognition, feeling, and comprehension. Dramatic activities introduce children into the sphere of art through play in an »as if« way. A variety of activities: exercises and plays, warm-up exercises (physical, verbal and vocal exercises, confidence and sensitivity exercises), non-verbal ways of expression and pantomime, role-play, improvisations and simulation, text work, drama structure, conventions, techniques and strategies; dramatic acting, dramatizations; drama and theater workshops, forum theater, theater in education, interactive theater, participation theater, all offer rich and valuable encouragement, especially in education for peace, tolerance, cooperation and respect for div...ersities. Drama workshop is a special type of dramatic activity guidance. It means to guide a single activity developmentally, playfully, creatively and interactively through a well-thought system having all the important elements of the theater. A successful drama workshop sets a child free in immediate and spontaneous communication with his/her social setting.
