As the identification of gifted and talented pupils and their education is pointed out as important for improving talent, the results of a pool on education work with these pupils in our elementary schools are analyzed. The teachers (N=80) were asked about the problems they encounter in work with this category of pupils. The results gathered point to the presence of both objective and subjective obstacles, but also to the ways in which they could be overcome. In order to better illustrate the possibilities for solving the present problems, the authors used three concrete examples from school practice and showed that gifted and talented pupils can be successfully identified and sufficiently and appropriately engaged in teaching and in extra activities. Instead of a conclusions, the teachers were recommended how to improve their overall work in shoot dealing with gifted and talented pupils, i.e. encourage the development of giftedness and talent in their pupils.
Pošto je istaknut značaj identifikovanja darovitih i talentovanih učenika i njihovog obrazovanja za podsticanje i razvoj darovitosti i talenata, analizirani su rezultati ankete o vaspitno-obrazovnom radu sa ovim učenicima u našim osnovnim školama. U anketi, učitelji i nastavnici (N=80) bili su pitani o teškoćama na koje nailaze u svom radu sa naznačenom kategorijom učenika. Prikupljeni podaci ukazuju na postojanje objektivnih i subjektivnih prepreka, ali i na načine kako se one mogu prevazići. Sa namerom da se što bolje ilustruju mogućnosti rešavanja postojećih problema, na tri konkretna primera iz školske prakse, pokazano je kako se uspešno mogu otkrivati i u dovoljnoj meri i na adekvatan način angažovati daroviti i talentovani učenici u toku redovne nastave i van nje. Umesto zaključka, učiteljima i nastavnicima su ponuđene preporuke o tome kako da unaprede svoj ukupan rad u školi baveći se darovitim i talentovanim učenicima, odnosno radeći na podsticanju i razvijanju darovitosti i ta...lenata svojih učenika.
