Abstract
In order to answer the question how to educate students in school to make their gifts emerge and develop, it is necessary to answer a lot of questions. Some of these questions are discussed in this paper: conception of giftedness in early age (role of ability, knowledge, creativity, motivation, self-concept); possibilities of measuring and identification of gifted students; characteristics of 'academically advanced', 'intellectually precocious', and other gifted students; educational needs of gifted students, and opportunities of satisfying them through various forms of education developed for gifted students. What will happen at school, shall we work on development or gifted students or develop giftedness of all students, depends on many factors, especially starting theoretical bases, opportunities which are available and setted goals. Any action, regardless the number of students included in, should be integral component of the whole education and development of individuals
Da bi smo odgovorili na pitanje kako u školi obrazovati i vaspitavati učenike da ispolje i razviju svoju darovitost potrebno je da prethodno odgovorimo na niz pitanja. U ovom radu se razmatraju neka od tih pitanja: određivanje darovitosti na mlađim uzrastima (uloga sposobnosti, znanja, kreativnosti, motivacije, pojma o sebi); mogućnosti merenja darovitosti i identifikovanja darovitih učenika; karakteristike 'školski naprednih', 'ranije sazrelih' i ostalih darovitih učenika; obrazovne i vaspitne potrebe darovitih učenika i mogućnosti da se one zadovolje kroz razne oblike vaspitno-obrazovnog rada razvijene za darovite učenike. Kako ćemo se ponašati u školi, da li ćemo raditi sa darovitim učenicima ili na razvijanju darovitosti kod učenika zavisi od više faktora, među kojima su najvažnije polazne teorijske osnove, mogućnosti kojima se raspolaže i ciljevi koji se žele postići.
