Izazovi u kreiranju bukvara: odnos teksta i ilustracije

Abstract

Уџбеници својим садржајима доприносе унапређивању образовања уколико прате одговарајуће стандарде и обезбеђују квалитет. Један од индикатора тог квалитета је и податак о присуству илустрација, као и односу илустрације и текста. Како у литератури недостаје систематизација методолошких приступа проблему односа илустрације и текста, намера нам је била да проширимо слику о тој релацији. Ово истраживање се наслања на резулате претходне студије o односу илустрације и ауторских текстова у савременим букварима пет издавача, препоручених у Каталогу уџбеника за школску 2016/2017. и 2017/2018. годину. Примењен је систем отворених кодова за праћење овог односа, где је показано да илустрације у буквару углавном oстају на нивоу декоративне функције. У овом раду смо отишли корак даље у покушају да разумемо боље однос илустрације и текста кроз фокус-групе и интервјуе са учитељима и илустраторима. Резултати квалитативне анализе указују на то да учитељи у великој мери не препознају илустрацију као модел за грађење значења и даљу интерпретацију текста, као и да на квалитет илустрације могу да утичу економски и организациони фактори који су наметнути кроз динамику издавачког процеса. У будућим истраживањима пажњу би требало усмерити на директно праћење наставе и мотивациону улогу илустрација, како бисмо могли да у потпуности заокружимо смернице за креирање будућих уџбеника и унапређивање квалитета илустрација.

Textbooks represent one of the factors for the improvement of education, if they follow the appropriate standards and ensure quality. One of the indicators of that quality is related to the usage of illustrations, as well as their correlation with the text. Given that a systematic methodological framework for the research of the correlation between an illustration and a text is missing, our aim was to provide a more in-depth picture of this correlation. is study represents a continuation of the previous research about the correlation between illustrations and literary texts from dve primers recommended in the Catalogue of the Textbooks for the school years 2016/2017 and 2017/2018. We have applied the open system of codes, intended for the description of this relationship and it was observed that the illustrations in the primers have a primarily illustrative role. In this study, we went one step further in order to understand the relationship between texts and illustrations through focus groups and interviews with class teachers and illustrators. e results of the qualitative analysis indicate that teachers do not recognize illustrations as a model for the development of meaning and further interpretation of the texts. Additionally, the results show that the quality of these illustrations is o¦en connected to the economical, as well as organisational, issues imposed by the dynamics of the publishing process. Any further research should address the question of the usage of illustrations in the context of the classroom, as well as their motivational role. Only with this kind of data will we be able to fully complete the guidelines for the design of the future textbooks and further improvement of the quality of illustrations.
